Well, it's finally here... the first ever Australia & New Zealand Literature Month hosted here at Reading Matters.
Over the next 31 days I plan on reviewing quite a few books from the antipodes, as well as running the odd giveaway or two, and posting a selection of guest posts. Hopefully, you will find plenty here to inspire and entertain you.
As ever, please do jump in and take part. The whole point of ANZ Literature Month is to raise awareness of the amazing range of literature produced by these two countries, much of which never gets publicised beyond their shores.
To participate, all you need to do is read a book or two from either Australia or New Zealand, post about ANZ literature on your own blog or simply engage in the conversation on this blog. If you don't have a blog, don't worry — you just need to be willing to read something by an Australian or New Zealander writer and maybe comment on other people's posts. You could also share the love on Twitter (using the hashtag #ANZLitMonth), Facebook, Instagram, GoodReads and other social media, too.
And feel free to read novels, non-fiction, poetry or short stories — if it's by an Australian or New Zealander writer, it counts!
If you do review any ANZ books on your blog, don't forget to tell me about it. To do this, simply visit my ANZ Literature Month page, scroll down to the bottom and submit your link. Easy!
