Yesterday I mentioned that I had an exciting competition coming up on Reading Matters, so I'm thrilled to reveal the great prize that one lucky person is going to nab. Yes, it's an unabridged audiobook of Nick Cave’s new novel, The Death of Bunny Munro, read by the man himself.
Now I don't normally do competitions in conjunction with publishers, but when the very kind people at Canongate offered this one up I couldn't really refuse.
It's a beautifully packaged set comprising seven CDs, plus a bonus DVD of eleven films of Cave reading key parts of the text (here's an example). The audiobook features a groundbreaking 3D audio spatial mix, specifically designed for listening on headphones, and includes an original soundtrack written by Cave and his long-time musical collaborator Warren Ellis.
Now, this is obviously something for genuine Nick Cave fans, so, to enter the competition, simply leave a comment telling me your favourite Nick Cave song (or album) and I'll draw a name out of the hat next Sunday (September 20).
The competition is open to anyone, regardless of where you live, but you can only enter once. Good luck.
