When I took this photograph at around 9.45am, the skyline was shrouded in fog and mist. Within minutes the clouds began to clear, to be replaced by blue skies and sunshine. The rest of the day was bright and sunny. It's a bit hard to believe that winter is almost here when you're walking around sweltering in 20 degrees C.
Thank goodness I left my ski jacket behind in the hotel room this morning. I already look like a foreigner, but wearing a bright orchid-coloured winter coat in this kind of heat would have marked me out as a nut job.
