We've endured a rather droll, temperamental summer, so it came as quite a surprise when I headed out at lunch time to find the weather so warm. In fact, it was 24°C, which is practically heatwave material by English standards.
It was lovely to walk over the Millennium Bridge in the gorgeous sunshine, although I missed not having my sunglasses because I was almost blinded by the sunlight bouncing off the Thames. There were few tourists around, which made for a quick walk, and I fired this snap off before going on a one-mile stroll, where I picked up a sandwich to eat at my desk a little later.
