Thanks for all your well wishes and comments regarding my recent suspected case of swine flu. I'm back on my feet now. It only took five days of bed rest, a box of paracetamol and a trillion Strepsils to feel something resembling close to normal.
While I'll never really know if it was the dreaded H1N1 virus, I do know it wasn't tonsilitis or strep throat as I had envisaged. I didn't require penicillin to get well, suggesting my illness was viral after all.
Whatever the case, it was actually a relief to return to work this morning. I was beginning to dread how much I would fall behind if I stayed at home any longer. I rather suspect that by week's end I might not feel the same way.
